Service and Repair of Corvette Performance Vehicles
Performance cars require mechanics that perform.
Since its debut in 1953, the Corvette has undergone numerous and dramatic changes throughout the decades. Produced continuously since its unveiling, seven generations of distinctly different Corvettes have been sold, each an American icon. Still, Corvette has remained true to its original concept: two seats, eight cylinders, speed, beauty, and performance without the European price tag are hallmarks of every Corvette.
Here at Nott's Automotive, we enjoy working on these American beauties while using the right diagnostic tools to correctly diagnose any problems. Our technicians have the experience to handle not only the necessary maintenance but also any major repairs that are needed. We do brake repairs, air conditioning systems, engines, timing belts, oil changes, check engine lights, and much more.
Some top Corvette cars we service are:
- ZR1
The American supercar combines the finest in technology, engineering and design to create a thing of beauty. At the time of its launch in 2009, the new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 delivered the most powerful and fastest car ever built by General Motors.
The ZR1 has a superior power-to-weight ratio than the Porsche 911 GT2, the Ferrari 599 and even the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.
With its exclusive exterior design, the Corvette ZR1 is instantly recognizable to supercar fans. It famously features a raised, all-carbon-fiber hood that uses a polycarbonate window to provide a view of the top of the engine's intercooler.
- ZO6
As Maverick said in the 80s action movie Top Gun - “ I feel the need, the need for speed.” This quote sums up the Corvette Z06.
One of the most powerful production cars available in the states, the supercharged Z06 goes from zero-to-sixty in less than 3 seconds, which will leave other cars on the road in your dust.
It pushes the performance envelope for Corvette with unprecedented levels of aerodynamic downforce. The Z06 also features an eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, strong aluminum frame, and a removable roof panel.
- Grand Sport
Some car enthusiasts call the C7 Corvette Grand Sport a “fake” Z06 and they may not be wrong.
The C7 Corvette Grand Sport has a Z06-style body and aerodynamic components. While it looks like a Z06, it doesn’t have the 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque created by the Z06’s supercharged LT4 engine.
The Grand Sport Perhaps is almost 100 pounds lighter than the Z06, so it's a more of a lean, mean sports car. It's famous for its comfort and reliability which is perfect for those long American road trips many corvette drivers love.
- Classic Corvette
Chevrolet released the classic Corvette affectionately known as the “Sting Ray” in 1963. It came with an all-new independent rear suspension and a coupe body style.
The handling ability, road adhesion, and sheer power of the Stingray made it an instant favorite among sports car drivers at the time.
It's been said that the Inspiration for the Sting Ray’s design came from the shortfin mako shark which was mounted in miniature in the Head of GM design Bill Mitchell’s office.
The revolutionary split rear window design caught almost everyone's attention and still does to this day.
At Nott's Automotive in Sarasota, our experienced technicians have the knowledge, the passion, and the diagnostic tools necessary to ensure that your Corvette receives the attention that it deserves. Keep your Corvette running smooth with us on your side.
