Jeep Service & Repair in Sarasota, FL
Jeep has been building off-road vehicles since World War II. We service the full Jeep lineup at Nott's Automotive in Sarasota, from the Wrangler to the Grand Cherokee, with OEM parts and techs who know these platforms.
Jeep owners in Sarasota are a loyal bunch, and we see a lot of them at Nott's Automotive. The Wrangler is the most iconic off-road vehicle ever built, and the Grand Cherokee is one of the most popular SUVs in Florida. Jeeps are capable and tough, but they have specific issues that we've been fixing since we opened in 2011. We use OEM Jeep parts and the wiTECH diagnostic software. Every repair comes with our 24-month, 24,000-mile Tech-Net warranty.

Common Jeep Repairs We See
Wrangler death wobble is the most common complaint we get from Jeep owners. At highway speeds, the front end starts shaking violently after hitting a bump. It's caused by worn track bar bushings, a loose track bar mount, or worn drag link ends. We inspect the entire front steering and suspension, replace the worn parts, and weld reinforcement brackets on the track bar mount if the frame is wallowed out. We also check the ball joints, which wear out fast on lifted Wranglers with larger tires. Don't ignore death wobble. It will eventually damage the steering box and other components.
Grand Cherokee electrical problems are a regular visitor. The 2011 to 2013 models with the 5.7L Hemi have TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) failures that cause random electrical gremlins. The fuel pump relay is built into the TIPM and when it fails, the truck won't start or the fuel pump runs continuously. We can repair the TIPM or install an external fuel pump relay bypass. We also see a lot of Grand Cherokee air suspension failures on the Summit and Overland models. The air compressor fails and the bags leak. We replace the compressor and bags, or we can convert to a coil spring suspension if you prefer.
The 3.2L and 2.4L engines in the Cherokee and Renegade have an oil cooler housing that cracks and leaks coolant into the oil. If you see a milky substance on your oil cap or the coolant level keeps dropping, get it checked immediately. We replace the oil cooler housing with an updated design. We also see a lot of Cherokee thermostat housing leaks, which is a plastic part that cracks from heat cycling.
Why Bring Your Jeep to Nott's
Our ASE-certified technicians use OEM Jeep parts on every repair. We have the wiTECH diagnostic software that Jeep dealers use, so we can read every module, program keys, and do the same relearns the dealer does. We understand lifted Jeeps and the extra stress that bigger tires put on ball joints, tie rods, and the track bar. We stock common filters and brake parts for Wranglers and Grand Cherokees, so most routine service is done same-day. We're a family-owned shop that's been in Sarasota since 2011.
